Abhishek Chandra is the coFounder/Admin – CGTantra.com as well as the coFounder/Animation Director – Digitales Studios. He has been in the industry for 10 years. He has worked as Animation Artist and Animation Team leads at various studios like UTV, Maya Entertainment Ltd, TATA Elxsi on projects like The Tale of Jack Frost, BKN classic DVD’s of Kong, Jungle Book etc and the feature film Roadside Romeo. Founder & Director of CGTantra.com, he has been taking seminars on Animation Career building and workshops on Character Animation at many events and Animation schools. He has been Jury at various Animation Film Festivals.

C B Arun Kumar has over 26 years of professional experience working in
the Animation & Broadcast Industry in India. He did his Masters from
the Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC Jamia) in 1989. Since
then he has worked with Television18, Business India (TVI), Aaj Tak
(Living Media), Doordarshan and Vijay TV (now Star Vijay). In 2001 he
set up the Moving Picture Company’s Animation Division and worked on
the first Indian 3D animation series, “Jungle Tales” (for Cartoon
Network) In 2006 he shifted to Mumbai as Vice President of Maya
Entertainment after which he worked as Head of VFX and Animation
Operations in Pixion. He is one of the leading Virtual Reality
photographers in the world specializing in digital panoramic imaging.
He was awarded the National Award (Rajat Kamal) for Best Director of
an Animation Film for .(2005) He is currently the
Academic Director of FX School, a leading training institute for
Animation, VFX, Film and Photography in Andheri (W) Mumbai
Gitanjali Rao graduated with honors as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Mumbai, in 1994.
Mehul Hirani started his career as a software programmer with a software development company for around 3 years. In 1995 he left the programming field to get into Crest communication studios as a 3d animator. Major part of his career he has worked on television commercials where he would be involved from the shoots till the final delivery of the film. Since the last 5 years he has worked with organizations which are involved in long format TV shows and feature films. Since the last 3 years he has been working with Crest animation studios as a Creative director and Project Head for different shows.
His first project at Crest Word world received a couple of awards locally and internationally and currently he is involved in Crest’s first international theatrical release, where he looks after the Creative side and certain part of the technical challenges. His other involvement has been in successfully developing and implementing an Asset Management and Project Tracking system along with the powerful programming team where he designs the flow and the programming team makes it happen. He consider this system development as one of his major achievements since he has joined crest.
Sanjiv has been in the animation industry since his graduation from collage in 1991. He partnered with the father of Indian animation Mr. Ram Mohan, and together had a huge monopoly and stronghold in the advertising industry, bagging lots of awards internationally and locally. The appetite to grow internationally lead to a merger of his company merging, and starting a profit sharing partnership with UTV,to form a first of its kind outsourcing animation outfit back in 1997. Sanjiv was instrumental in growing a first of its kind animation setup at a time when no animation training was available in the country. He has also worked with a few international production TV shows and home DVDS. He has also been part of many new ventures. He is a supporter of grooming the Indian animation community, and is a active founding member of TASI (The animation society of India) and has been a jury on different animation platforms like Nasscom, FICCI. He also has been propaganding and taking workshops and sessions on animation internationally as well as locally. Animation has always been an integral part of Sanjiv and will continue to be one.
